Balance & Flexibility with Reformer Pilates
What if balance and flexibility training could be done without the traditional balance challenges presented by yoga?
What if balance and flexibility training could be done using machines?
Reformer Pilates is the answer.
Reformer Pilates can help with balance & flexibility
Reformer Pilates combines resistance exercises with balance skills. The result is a full body workout that doesn’t just tone your muscles, but also enhances your balance for daily activities.
Balance is an important key to health. A fall can lead to broken bones or more serious injuries. And dizziness can indicate the development of diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, migraines, ear infections, high blood pressure and many other problems. A balance problem now may develop into an even bigger issue later on in life.
Better balance with Reformer Pilates
Balance and balance training is important for everyone, but balance problems can develop as we age.
Balance training should not be limited to standing on one foot or walking heel to toe with eyes closed. You need balance challenges that require more coordination like those found in Reformer Pilates: lifting the legs while lengthening out through the spine; maintaining a long body position; rolling up and down from tabletop; and holding one leg extended while reaching through both arms towards opposite sides of the room, etc.
Reformer Pilates provides a safe environment to work on balance techniques without fear of falling because you are always supported by something: either your lower back supported by padding on the Reformer machine, your feet supported by footbar, or your hands supported by straps.
Reformer Pilates balance training is fun and challenging! It will improve balance, flexibility, coordination, strength, endurance and power all at the same time.
